Historical Heroes: Was Jan Žižka The Greatest General Who Ever Lived?

The Culture Tome is going to feature a series of regular segments, such as Historic Landmarks. Another one is Historical Heroes, which looks back on the life of a famous figure to see what made them so influential. The first one I’m featuring is Czech general and all-around badass Jan Žižka. He was one of the most famous military leaders in history and was said to have never lost a battle. There’s an argument to be made that he’s the greatest general of all time and The Culture Tome is examining why that is.
